Spikes and Ferrules are quickly becoming the method of the past. Due to the improvements in hidden hanger technology we have been able to apply them to 95% of our new installations. We have found that along with the obvious increase in attractiveness comes a marked increase in quality. Here is the new design of the new “screw in” hidden hangers
Installed with a regular cordless drill, notice the heavyweight design, along with large included screw that will not work its way out like a spike and ferrule. Also strategically placed drain holes that allow the water to pass through the hanger. This design allows for easy repairs and removal along with great support. Have a angled fascia with sagging gutters? Pair a wedge with the hanger and you have lifetime support and stability.
We include wedges on all angled fascia to insure your gutters never sag down even when full of leaves or during the hardest rains of rainy season. The large screws of the hangers pass through the wedges for an attractive, extremely stable gutter system. Some companies use spike and ferrules or hangers alone on angled fascia, we always include them when needed. Check out the diagram below for a detailed look at how it works.
